What Stands Out

  1. 6-place-setting capacity holds up to 70 pieces of tableware, with plates up to 10 inches in diameter
  2. 8 washing programs, including a dedicated Baby-Care mode and a childproof control lock
  3. Heavy program uses 12 spray nozzles with 360-degree coverage and water up to 68°C for baked-on stains
  4. No permanent plumbing required — connects directly to a kitchen faucet with the included adapter, hoses, and quick connect

Strengths and Drawbacks

What works

  • Rated at 49 dB, quiet enough for open-plan living spaces and overnight cycles
  • Connects directly to a kitchen faucet with the included adapter — no permanent plumbing installation required, which suits rental units
  • Dedicated Baby-Care wash program for bottles and sippy cups, backed by a childproof control lock for parents in small kitchens
  • Upper rack fits plates up to 10 inches across, with capacity for up to 70 pieces of tableware in a single 6-place-setting load
  • Energy Star certified operation for buyers who want to keep both water and electricity use down
  • Cleaning performance is strong, even on pots and pans that fit inside

What does not

  • A real minority of units develop leaks or fail outright within the first few months, so it is worth testing hard during the 1-year warranty window
  • Pull-out faucets may not handle the pressure of the faucet hookup, so check yours before ordering
  • At 21.6 inches wide it is too big for some counters, and 10-inch square plates can be a tight squeeze

Eight Washing Programs, Including Baby-Care and a Childproof Lock

Washing programs 8 Programs Heavy, Normal, Baby-Care, ECO, Glass, Speed, Rinse, Mini-Party Voltage 120 volts

COMFEE' names all eight programs: Heavy, Normal, Baby-Care, ECO, Glass, Speed, Rinse and Mini-Party, with an extra-drying function on most of them. Baby-Care is the standout for anyone buying this for bottles and sippy cups rather than general dish duty, and with a childproof lock on the controls, it gives small-space parents a genuine reason to pick this over a plainer machine. ECO and Glass cover everyday glassware, Heavy and Normal handle the rest of a 6-place-setting load, and Rinse and Mini-Party round out the menu. Cleaning is its strongest point, and the machine can take a heavy stretch too, such as a dozen or more loads across two days of holiday cooking.

Countertop Footprint Sized for 6 Place Settings

Dimensions 19.7"D x 21.6"W x 17.2"H Capacity 2.77 gallons Weight 46 lbs

At 19.7"D x 21.6"W x 17.2"H and 46 pounds, this is a countertop unit, not a built-in. It hooks up to a kitchen faucet with a suitable adapter, and the box includes an inlet hose, drain hose, faucet adapter and quick connect; COMFEE' says it can also be plumbed in like a full-size machine or fitted in a cupboard. Pull-out faucets may not handle the pressure of the hookup, so check yours before ordering. COMFEE' rates it for 6 place settings, up to 70 pieces of tableware and plates up to 10 inches across, and pitches it at two to three people in dorms, RVs and apartments. It holds a day's dishes for one or two people, but fit is less certain: it sits perfectly on some counters and is too big for others, which a roll-around cart can solve, and 10-inch square plates can be a tight squeeze. Pots and pans may still need washing by hand.

12-Nozzle Heavy Program and a 45-Minute Speed Cycle

Heavy program nozzles 12 Speed program time 45 minutes Noise level 49 dB

The Heavy program uses 12 washing nozzles with a 360-degree spiral spray and water up to 68℃, aimed at baked-on, heavily soiled loads. At the other end, Speed finishes in 45 minutes, which COMFEE' pitches for turning plates around between rounds at a party, and it can use as little as 2.77 gallons of water. It runs quietly, and COMFEE' puts the noise level at 49 dB, low enough for a small apartment or dorm. It is good value too, since it takes over nearly all of the daily hand washing.

The Leak and Durability Complaints

Warranty 1 year Main Complaint Durability Second Complaint Leaks

Most units work well, but two problems come up often enough to plan for. Durability is the bigger one: multiple buyers report their unit failing within about three months. Leaks are the other, with water turning up where it should not be. Neither is the majority experience, and months of trouble-free use are common, but they are why this is not an automatic pick. COMFEE' backs the machine with a 1-year warranty, which covers that early-failure window, so keep the paperwork and use it hard in the first weeks. A factory test can leave a little water inside a new unit, which COMFEE' says is normal, so that alone is not a leak.

How We Scored It

Based on
The manufacturer's published specifications and the product's live Amazon listing.
Owner rating
4.2 out of 5 on Amazon, recorded September 26, 2026
How we score
We score each thing that comes up most in owner feedback on the COMFEE’ Portable Mini Dishwasher. Eight things come up most in owner feedback: five draw praise, one splits opinion and two draw mostly complaints. Its ratings average 4.2 stars (68% five stars, 11% four, 5% three and 16% one or two), so every score starts at 84, that average on a 100 point scale. Where opinion is split, we take off 6. Where it draws mostly complaints, we take off 12. Then we read eight owner reviews in full (every one we found gave it four or five stars) and move the score up to 5 points either way depending on how the owners who mention it rated the product. Our overall score starts from the same 4.2 star average and loses 0.1 for each thing that draws mostly complaints, with 0.1 more when at least a tenth of ratings are one star, never more than 0.3 in all. Here that takes off 0.3, which gives 3.9. Read our editorial standards

Setting It Up

  1. Position Unit on Counter

Place the dishwasher on a level countertop close to the sink, since the inlet and drain hoses both need to reach it. At 21.6 inches wide, 19.7 inches deep and 17.2 inches tall it needs real counter space; if it won't fit, a roll-around cart works, or COMFEE' says it can be fitted in a cupboard.

  2. Connect Drain Hose

Attach the included drain hose and route it into the sink so it can't slip out during a drain cycle. Check the connections for drips on the first run; a little water inside a brand-new unit is left over from COMFEE's factory test, not a leak.

  3. Install Faucet Adapter

Remove the faucet aerator and fit the included faucet adapter, then attach the inlet hose with the quick connect. COMFEE' notes a suitable adapter is needed for your faucet, and pull-out faucets may not cope with the pressure of the hookup, so check yours first.

  4. Turn On the Water Supply

With the inlet hose connected, turn the faucet on before starting a cycle so the machine can draw water as it needs it, and turn it off again once the cycle has finished.

  5. Load Dishes and Add Detergent

Arrange dishes with soiled surfaces facing the spray, placing larger items low and glasses up top, and keep plates to 10 inches across or smaller. Add dishwasher detergent to the dispenser before closing the door.

  6. Select Program and Start

Press the power button, then choose one of the 8 programs based on the load. Press Start to begin the cycle, with the LED display confirming it is running. Avoid opening the door during a cycle to prevent water spilling and interrupting the wash.

Common Questions

Do I need a permanent plumbing hookup to install this dishwasher?

No. It's a countertop unit designed to connect directly to a kitchen faucet rather than a fixed water line. COMFEE' notes a suitable adapter is needed, and the box includes an inlet hose, drain hose, faucet adapter and quick connect to make that faucet connection work. That fits COMFEE' positioning it for dorms, RVs and apartments where a built-in installation isn't an option, though it can also be plumbed in if you prefer. Check your faucet first: pull-out faucets may not stand up to the hookup.

How many place settings does this dishwasher actually hold?

COMFEE' rates it for 6 place settings, up to 70 pieces of tableware and plates up to 10 inches across, inside a 19.7"D x 21.6"W x 17.2"H footprint. It is big enough for breakfast, lunch and dinner dishes for one or two people. Fit is less clear cut: 10-inch square plates can be a tight squeeze, so check your plate shapes as well as their size.

How loud is it when it's running on the counter?

COMFEE' lists 49 dB, and it is quiet enough to run in a small apartment, dorm or RV without it taking over the room.

How reliable is it, and does it leak?

These are its two weak points. The most common failure is a unit that breaks within three months of use, and water leakage is the other recurring problem. Both sit alongside strong cleaning, value, size, noise and capacity, so the complaints are real but not the majority experience. COMFEE' backs the unit with a 1-year warranty, which would cover a failure inside that three-month window.

Does it really include a Baby-Care cycle and a childproof lock?

Yes to both. Baby-Care is one of the 8 washing programs COMFEE' names, and the childproof lock is built in. Together they make it a good fit for parents washing bottles and sippy cups in a small kitchen.

How fast is the Speed program?

Speed takes 45 minutes, which COMFEE' pitches for turning dishes around quickly between rounds at a gathering, and it can use as little as 2.77 gallons of water. Save the Heavy program, with its 12 nozzles, 360-degree spray and water up to 68℃, for loads with stubborn, baked-on stains.

The Verdict

3.9Out of 5

The COMFEE' Portable Mini Dishwasher earns its place through 8-program versatility, including a dedicated Baby-Care wash and a childproof lock, plus quiet operation that suits apartments, dorms, and RV installations without permanent plumbing. The trade-off for that flexibility is reliability: most units run smoothly well beyond the first few months, but a real minority develop leaks or fail early, which is where the 1-year warranty matters most. Anyone who wants faster cycles or fewer reliability complaints should compare it against similarly sized countertop models before buying.

Who should buy it

  • Renters and dorm residents without a dishwasher
  • RV owners and mobile home dwellers needing portable dishwashing capability with faucet-adapter installation, independent of a fixed plumbing hookup
  • Parents who want a dedicated Baby-Care wash program for bottles, sippy cups, and pump parts, backed by a childproof lock
  • Environmentally conscious users prioritizing Energy Star certified, water-efficient cycles (as low as 2.77 gallons on Speed) over the fastest possible turnaround
  • Small households of 1-2 people who value quiet, 49 dB operation for open-plan living spaces

The COMFEE' Portable Mini Dishwasher balances cleaning performance, capacity, and no-plumbing-required installation in a compact countertop package, making it a solid choice for renters and small-space dwellers — as long as you're comfortable with the real risk of leaks or an early failure, and you register the unit to use the 1-year warranty if that happens.
