Timer-Based Cooking
An electronic timer, set with a slider, controls cooking time, and an audible signal sounds when the eggs are ready.
The Chef'sChoice 7-Egg Electric Egg Cooker is a consistent egg cooker with steam to respect, best for frequent boiled-egg eaters. Rated 4.3 out of 5 across 1,059 user ratings. The main drawback: does not switch itself off after the signal. We scored it 4.2 out of 5.
Repeatable eggs that peel easily, cooked by a timer rather than by how much water you pour in; the catch is that it only beeps when done and never switches itself off, and its steam demands care. The Chef'sChoice 810 steams up to seven eggs, or poaches three, on a 350-watt base with an electronic timer.
NoFussDeal rates the Chef'sChoice 7-Egg Electric Egg Cooker 4.2 out of 5 at $35.99. Last updated September 26, 2026.

The cooker has a brushed stainless steel finish and an egg tray that lifts out with one hand for rinsing under cold water or carrying to the table.

Pour water into the base, staying below the MAX line. Owners commonly use about three-quarters of a cup.
Place up to seven eggs in the tray, or crack up to three into the poaching dish for poached or scrambled eggs.
Move the timer slider toward soft or hard, or to P for poaching. Larger eggs need the slider nudged toward more time.
Turn on the switch; the indicator light shows it is heating. When the alarm sounds, switch it off yourself, as it does not turn off automatically.
Tip the lid so the steam escapes away from your hand, then lift the tray out with tongs or a cloth and cool the eggs in ice water for easy peeling.
For most buyers, yes: we score it 4.2 out of 5. It does not switch itself off, the single-handle lid needs care around the steam, and long-term water ingress into the base is a real risk for heavy users.
Rated 4.3 out of 5 across 1,059 user ratings, with 72% giving it five stars and 9% one star.
Does not switch itself off after the signal. Single-handle lid releases hot steam and is hard for weak hands.
Cook one egg at a time while you learn the scale, then mark your favourite position; one owner painted a dab of white nail polish on the faint slider marker.
The Chef'sChoice 810 earns its fans with timer-controlled consistency, easy peeling and a lift-out tray. It does not switch itself off, the single-handle lid needs care around the steam, and long-term water ingress into the base is a real risk for heavy users.
If you want the same egg every time without watching a pan, this delivers, and the easy peeling is a bonus. Stay close enough to switch it off when it beeps, and if your grip is weak, the single lid handle may be a deal-breaker.
