Gooseneck Spout for Pour-Over
The slim gooseneck spout is designed to give full control over the speed and consistency of the water flow for pour-over brewing.
The Bodum Bistro Gooseneck Electric Water Kettle is a fast good-looking pour-over kettle, best for pour-over coffee drinkers. Rated 4.6 out of 5 across 1,290 user ratings. The main drawback: no temperature setting or keep-warm. We scored it 4.6 out of 5.
You get a fast boil and a proper pour-over spout in a kettle that looks good on any counter, but you give up temperature control entirely. Bodum's Bistro gooseneck heats 1 liter (34 oz) of water at 1500 watts and switches itself off at the boil, which suits pour-over at or near boiling but leaves green-tea and light-roast drinkers guessing.
NoFussDeal rates the Bodum Bistro Gooseneck Electric Water Kettle 4.6 out of 5 at $58.94. Last updated September 26, 2026.

Set the base on a flat, dry counter near an outlet, where the cord will not tug it when you lift the kettle.
Before first use, Bodum recommends filling the kettle to the MAX line with cold water, boiling it and pouring it away.
Fill with fresh water, never above the MAX mark inside; overfilling makes water spill from the bottom.
Put the kettle on the base and press the power switch. It turns itself off when the water boils.
Hold it by the handle only, since the steel body gets hot, and pour slowly through the gooseneck spout.
Yes: we score it 4.6 out of 5. The Bistro boils quickly, pours precisely and looks far smarter than its plain feature list suggests.
Rated 4.6 out of 5 across 1,290 user ratings, with 81% giving it five stars and 4% one star.
No temperature setting or keep-warm. Steel body gets hot while boiling.
Descale regularly, especially in a hard-water area. Wipe the outside with a damp cloth.
Filtered water slows mineral build-up. Descale regularly with a descaling product or citric acid, which at least one owner uses to keep hard-water deposits away.

The Bistro boils quickly, pours precisely and looks far smarter than its plain feature list suggests. It holds up to years of daily use, but it only boils, the body gets hot, and the lightweight base is the least refined part of the package.
For pour-over at or near boiling, the Bistro is an easy recommendation: quick, well made and good to pour from. If you brew delicate teas or want to set exact temperatures, a variable-temperature gooseneck is worth the extra money.
