Choose a plain, light-coloured wall or ceiling. White or pale walls show the colour best.
Stand the lamp on a flat surface and tilt the head toward the wall or ceiling. Move it further away for a bigger, softer circle, or closer for a smaller, stronger one.
Connect the USB cable to the adapter and a wall socket, then switch it on.
