Lift out the stainless steel tray and wash it by hand or in the dishwasher. Wipe the base and lid with a damp cloth; never immerse them.
Put your food in the compartments. Add a spoonful of water to rice, pasta or anything dry so steam can carry heat through it and keep it moist.
Close the lid fully and check it is secure all the way round before heating or carrying.
Open the socket stopper and insert the 110V cable for a wall outlet or the 12V cable for a car or truck socket.
When the indicator light comes on, the box is heating. Allow 30 to 40 minutes in warm weather and 40 to 60 in cold weather, longer for food straight from the fridge.
Remove the power cable before you open the lid and eat, as Farochy recommends.
